Welcome to the Intelligent and Embedded Networked Systems (Intemnets) Laboratory

We are part of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.

The main theme of our research activity is interconnected systems. A large-scale example is the Internet. The Internet is a large-scale network of computers interconnected via different communication systems such as WiFi, Ethernet, and optical fibers. Our research considers computers interconnected via wireless communication only. It also considers computers that are embedded, not desktop/laptop computers, such as computers inside drones, cellphones, and small satellites. For example, our research has included small motion sensors that can communicate with one another and that can be worn to measure body motion for physical therapy, autonomous drones that communicate with one another using wireless transceivers to coordinate their flight activity to monitor wildfires, and a cube satellite for jamming detection.
